Clean (Eating) Sloppy Joe's

I was so excited when I found this recipe on fellow Dream Teamer Deidra Penrose's blog! I love sloppy joes but I knew that they were unhealthy to eat. I was so excited to find this recipe that I planned the meal for the following week (yesterday). Luckily, this is one of the few recipes that have been hubby approved. I also made Chalean Extreme Fries where you can find here!

Also I just want to quickly mention if  you love your pop, you should try this better alternative; sparkling water!! Since I have started drinking this, I have not craved pop. Matter of fact, I have literally stopped drinking pop. It was a little bit of a battle, but I crave my sparkling water more than pop now!

Anyway here is the yummy sloppy joe recipe:

Ingredients:
* 1-1/2 Pounds Lean Ground Turkey
* 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce, no sugar added
* 1/2 cup clean ketchup ( I could only find Kroger's brand)
* 1 TSP garlic powder
* 1 small onion chopped
* 1 medium green bell pepper chopped
* 1 medium red bell pepper chopped

Directions
 Put the ground turkey into the crockpot along with the tomato sauce, ketchip, garlic powder. Mix in the onion and peppers. Stir together. Turn the crock pot on and cook it for 8 hours.

*** Serve on a 100% whole wheat bun!! ( I found mine at kroger)!! ****
Hope you enjoy!
